Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome is offering a new screening procedure called Angio-Screen. It is a simple noninvasive vascular screening designed to provide participants with information about their circulation, risk of heart disease and stroke.

Angio-Screen also provides participants with information about their heart rhythm, neck and leg arteries and fitness. Clear results are also available in regards to vascular condition.

The screening includes blood pressure checks in both arms, an EKG, measurement of Ankle-Brachial Indexes in both legs and Carotid Ultrasounds with digital images and Body Mass Index (BMI). Angio-Screen is the first step in helping lower the risk of a heart attack or stroke.

On Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Redmond will be conducting Angio-Screens for $50. Additional screening dates are available. For more information on Angio-Screen or to schedule an appointment, call 706-802-3000.
