Because of an overwhelming response to an article
in the Rome News-Tribune, Redmond Occupational Health has arranged additional
heart and stroke screenings next month.
Redmond’s Angio-screen helps to
check for irregular heart rhythms, blood pressure levels, plaque and, most
importantly, blockages in neck and leg arteries through colorized ultrasound
pictures.
“Due to the interest generated by the Spring Training article,
the March 31 screening (at the Women’s Information Network health fair) was
booked in a matter of minutes,” said Kay Dixon, Redmond’s Occupational Health
marketing manager and a WIN board member.
So Redmond has announced an
additional 30 screenings will be provided April 12 at Redmond Regional Medical
Center for the same reduced rate of $35 on a first-come, first-serve basis.
