PARTICIPANT FEEDBACK

"At my friend's insistence, I setup an appoinment for AngioScreen® testing to see if I had any signs of cardiovasculr disease. I learned the right side of my carotid artery was blocked, and was advised to see a cardiovasculasr specialist who determined the blockage was greater than 60% on the right side. I'm so thankful to AngioScreen® - I never would have known otherwise."

"Through an employer-sponsored AngioScreen®, I discovered that I had a carotid artery blockage and that my ABI was out of normal range on both legs. With this new information, my primary care provider referred me to a cardiovascular surgeon, who ordered further testing and found significant blockage in both iliac arteries. I had surgery and have been amazed at the results and the difference I feel. I am extremely thankful that my employer provided AngioScreen® for its employees; it has made a difference in my life."

"I made an appointment to have an AngioScreen® done at my place of employment. The screening was painless and quick and my results were given to me immediately. My blood pressure was taken - I was unaware of how high it was, and they AngioScreen® professionals advised me to contact my physician as soon as possible. Having a screening by AngioScreen® has been a life saving experience for me."

"During the AngioScreen ultrasound of my neck, the sonogram tech recommended that I follow-up with my physician on my thyroid. I had a complete work-up on my thyroid and was informed that the thyroid nodule had doubled in size and had made numerous very concerning changes. A general surgeon came back with a diagnosis of papillary thyroid cancer. I had a total thyroidectomy and excision of one lymph node that was positive for papillary cancer - Stage 3, N1a thyroid cancer. Needless to say, my husband and I have learned to cherish every moment and challenge each of you to do the same and not wait for a wake-up call!"

"We never expected that the AngioScreen team would route me directly to the ER when they found that I had a 5 centimeter Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA). Though I'm an avid camper, my vascular surgeon requested that we stay close to home that summer until we knew more about the aneurysm. I was at home when I suddenly began having chest pain. When I arrived at the Medical Center, I was told that I was having a heart attack.

AngioScreen was lifesaving for me in multiple ways. I understand that the mortality rate for a ruptured AAA is greater than 85%. Following the doctor’s orders due to the AAA saved my life when I had the heart attack as well. Also, having the AngioScreen when I did preserved my quality of life by making it possible for me to avoid the traditional open abdominal surgery."

AngioScreen participantJerry A.

"During a portion of the screening, an ultrasound detected an enlarged aorta and the staff encouraged me to follow-up with my primary care physician as soon as possible. I acted on it immediately and scheduled the required surgery to correct the life threatening issue. If you are in doubt about whether you should have an AngioScreen Screening, take it from me… you most certainly should, because it could save your life... it did mine."
